Job title: Supply Chain Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Supply Chain Manager to join our Chisinau team and contribute to the operational excellence of our inventory management workflow. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will take full ownership of the Supply Chain department and report directly to the COO. Your top priority will be to ensure that our customers always have access to our products.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with a strong understanding of inventory planning and management, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Performance metrics: develop and maintain key performance metrics and reporting systems to measure supply chain performance and communicate results to senior management
• Supply chain oversight: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand forecasting, inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation, and logistics
• Team management: Lead and manage another team member within the supply chain function, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure high performance and professional growth
• Supplier management: Place orders with offshore suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth operations
• Logistics coordination: Manage the shipment of goods by sea and air to the USA, Canada, UK, Germany & France. Obtain and compare freight quotes, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery
• Inventory management: Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent stock-outs and excess inventory. Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain activities with sales forecasts and market demand
• Import documentation and compliance: Maintain accurate shipping documents and records. Oversee and manage the import of goods into each country, ensuring compliance with local customs regulations, duties, and taxes to facilitate a seamless entry and distribution process
• Cross-department collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure effective communication and coordination across departments
• Risk management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, capacity constraints, or quality issues, through proactive planning and contingency strategies
• Market monitoring: Monitor market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and maintain a competitive edge
• Project participation: Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support business growth, product launches, and process improvements
• Continuous improvement: Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, lean principles, and automation technologies

Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience in logistics, preferably in a fast-paced and complex environment
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices, and industry trends
• Proficiency in using supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export processes
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on driving operational excellence and achieving business objectives
• Proven experience in Amazon FBA supply chain management will be an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of English (written and verbal)
